"Wajima-nuri" is a form of lacquerware produced in Wajima-city, Ishikawa prefecture which can be dated back to the Heian-era.
To acknowledge the skilled work of Wajima-nuri maki-e craftsmen, Sailor is pleased to announce the launch of the "Wajima Bijou" fountain pen which has been designed with jewelry in mind.
The border pattern of the barrel, the top of the cap and the bottom of the barrel are finished using a color representing a jewel and mother-of-Pearl.
