We celebrate the 5th anniversary as the SHIKIORI (four seasons) series in coming September 2022 after the first series released in 2017. The design of this pen depicts the scenery of rice paddies whose colors keep changing throughout the four seasons. The shape is reminiscent of a single grain of glossy rice, and the coloring is based on the image of fresh rice and rice ears. “Minori” means bountiful harvest in Japanese.

Behind-the-scene Story of Development

SHIKIORI – 四季織 – our gratitude for the five-year anniversary of the SHIKIORI series. We developed a commemorative product with the color theme of “Minori – abundant harvest”. To represent the changing seasons in a single pen, it was difficult to strike a balance between the colors of each season and the overall color, and we continued to study this from the design drawing to the product sample. The small glitter in the light blue barrel of the fountain pen has a slight greenish glow, which is reminiscent of rice planted in a paddy field. The result is a writing instrument with a special coloring appropriate for the 5th anniversary, including a different color arrangement and attention to detail from the previous SHIKIORI series.

We hope that all who support the SHIKIORI – 四季織 – series will have an “abundant harvest – Minori – 穣”.
